Retex Volunteer Day with MENO – July 2023
We came, we saw(ed), we conquered. 💪🪵
On July 14, seven members of the Retex team headed all the way to Cumberland, VA, to spend the day bundling firewood for MENO.
MENO is a nonprofit organization that helps adults who struggle with substance use disorders by providing them with residential housing, meaningful work, and an accountable and affirming community, all in an atmosphere of peace and joy.
As part of the project, MENO has a sawmill that will provide work for its future residents as well as volunteers. And in four hours, we were able to put together 150 bundles of firewood that MENO will sell to Bear Creek State Park.
We love being a part of the Greater Richmond community, and we really enjoy our volunteer days every month where we get to give back and bond with the team simultaneously.
