Here are our 6 quick tips on what to do:
1. Review your insurance policy so you know what’s covered and what’s not before you file a claim.
2. Assess and document the extent of damage, interior and exterior.
3. Protect your home from further damage as needed.
4. Get a detailed estimate from a local, licensed and insured roofer.
5. Don’t collect multiple estimates.
6. Be wary of roof repair scams, especially if someone asks you to pay upfront.
