Can A Leaky Gutter Be Repaired?

Can a leaky gutter be repaired?

It depends on the underlying issue causing the leak. If your gutter is pulling away from your home, there’s a chance a screw or two has come loose. In this case, it should be repairable. However, a sagging or bending gutter may point to a deeper issue, such as rotten fascia.

Fascia boards are the wooden trim pieces at the face of the roof, just below the roof line, where the gutters connect to the house. If the fascia is rotten, the gutters will have to be removed to replace it.

If your gutters are sagging, bending, or pulling away from your house, it’s smart to have a gutter professional examine them and provide you with an estimate for gutter repair or replacement.

At Retex Roofing & Exteriors, we offer complimentary gutter assessments so we can address your gutter needs efficiently and bring you peace of mind quickly. We also offer gutter guards to help lower the amount of maintenance your gutters need year-round.
