Can Leaky Gutters Be Repaired?

Can a leaky gutter be repaired?

The answer depends on the issue at hand.

If a section of your gutters is pulling away from your house, there may be a few screws loose. In this case, it would be an easy repair so long as the gutters themselves aren't damaged. And if there's a small hole or two in your gutters, you may be able to use a sealant to fix the issue temporarily. However, if the gutters are bent, rusting, or sagging, you may need to consider replacing at least that segment of your gutters.

At Retex Roofing & Exteriors, we offer both gutter repair and gutter replacement services so you can gain peace of mind before the next storm. The above photos show a recent repair Retex's Caleb Hennon completed on-the-spot for a homeowner in Richmond VA. Caleb installed fasteners and a piece of flashing to seal up the gap that was allowing water to flow between the gutters and this home.
