Habitat Home Dedication: Welcome Home, McRaes!
Congratulations to The McRaes on their new home!
On August 1, Retex’s Katelyn Lewis had the honor of attending Richmond Habitat’s Dill Ave. home dedication to the McRae family.
Fachella McRae is a native of Richmond, growing up in Hillside Court. She currently works for Allied Security as a sergeant, making sure that her fellow officers uphold their duties and responsibilities. Prior to the event, Fachella shared that she’d been telling her kids for about two years that she was going to get them a house so they could play outside, giving them a chance to finally be children.
“I’d like to tell my kids: Ya’ll, we did it. We made it,” she said during the dedication ceremony.
The Retex team had the chance to help out on this beautiful Dill Ave. home back in May, where we installed posts and trim for the front porch, caulked along the eaves, and helped to reorganize materials for a cleaner job site.
