Virginia is a "Buyer Beware" state, which means someone selling their home doesn't have to disclose all property defects to prospective buyers, especially when the home is being sold as-is. This contingency places the responsibility into the buyer's hands to do their due diligence, with home and/or roof inspections, before purchasing the property.

While great home inspectors can give their best judgment on the condition or age of a roof, they're not likely to venture up there themselves, leaving a big what-if in the equation. 

At Retex Roofing & Exteriors, we offer roof inspections for real estate transactions. Our $175 inspection fee can bring a LOT of peace of mind for prospective homeowners, helping in the negotiation or planning and budgeting process for future home improvement projects. We provide our assessment of and recommendations for the roof, whether it's in need of repairs or replacement, as well as photos of any problem areas we find. 

And, if you ultimately decide to go with Retex for any fixes or replacements, we discount the original inspection fee from your total invoice.
