Our Window Installation Process

Katelyn Lewis • January 11, 2024

Replacing your home’s windows can boost your home’s curb appeal while also making it more energy-efficient. But what does the installation process look like?

Retex installed new, triple-paned Provia windows at a North Chesterfield home in August 2023. These windows are low-E glass and filled with argon gas as well, helping to reduce the amount of outside noise and heat transfer between the home and the great outdoors.

Without further ado, here are our window installation steps:

  1. Materials delivered, usually the day before the project is scheduled to start.

  2. Remove old windows and install new ones – really, seems too simple, but see the quick swap in these photos.

  3. Install spray foam along the windows’ exteriors.

  4. Clad the windows, further protecting them from Mother Nature.

  5. Caulk the windows, both inside and outside, to seal the deal.

Finally, we clean up the yard of debris and nails. It may seem like we were never there, except for the new awesome windows in your home.
