Which contractors should you have in your (digital) rolodex for your home projects?

Here's our top 5 list:

1.) A home exterior/roofing contractor. A company like Retex (wink, wink!) that offers not only a great resource for any home exterior work you need or want to complete, but also an emergency contact for storm-related damage.

2.) A handyman. A handyman can help with minor projects inside and outside your home with the expertise to fix the issue quickly and for a reasonable price, saving your time and energy. We recommend Affordable Exterminators for handyman and pest control services – 804-744-3835.

3.) A plumber. If you’ve got a leaky pipe or other water issues such as a constantly running toilet or overflowing dishwasher, you need to call a plumber. We trust Chase Inc. for plumbing and HVAC issues – 804-745-3864.

4.) An electrician. Having a trusted electrician comes in handy for knowing where the wires in your walls are and for installing new light fixtures and fans. Shoutout to Andrew Olsen of Olsen Electrical Services – 804-877-3770.

5.) A general contractor. If you have a number of repairs or renovation projects you’re looking to achieve, knowing a great general contractor will bring multiple projects under one company, saving you from having to coordinate the timelines of different businesses for the project’s completion. We recommend David Clark of Richmond Rebuilders – 804-400-0909.
