How Do I Choose A Siding Contractor?

Katelyn Lewis • June 5, 2024

How do you find a reputable siding contractor you can trust with your home’s exteriors?

Here are our top 5 tips:

  1. Do your due diligence. Check with family, friends, and neighbors to see if they have recommendations. When looking online, search for great ratings across Google, Yelp, Facebook, Better Business Bureau, or any platform you trust for reviews.

  2. Narrow down your options. Consider factors like location, warranties, and responsiveness to your inquiries. Upfront great – or bad! – communication is a good indicator of how your experience will be throughout the project.

  3. Set up appointments that work for your schedule. Take this opportunity to meet with the contractors and ask questions about manufacturers’ certifications, industry experience, insurance coverage, financing options as needed, workmanship warranties, and references for jobs they’ve completed near you.

  4. Consider your overall experience so far with the individual siding contractors or companies in the scheduling and appointment phases. If it’s a well-oiled machine with great people at every step, you should feel at ease putting your project in their hands.

  5. Pick the company that fits your needs. Consider quality work, price, and the timeline for project completion. While the lowest bid may seem the most attractive, keep in mind the quality of work you’re paying for at that price. Other companies may be backed up with projects for the weeks ahead, so think about whether your timeline aligns with theirs.
