How We Give Back: Reflecting On Our 2023 Voluntarism

When we first established Retex as a local roofing and home exterior business, we were firm in our mission to create a company that gives back to its community.


Reflecting on 2023, we’re super pumped we’ve been able to keep up with our monthly community service commitments, especially with our expansion to helping with MENO Recovery and Project Homes in addition to Richmond’s Habitat for Humanity.

We were able to donate and install the siding on one of MENO’s new homes with CertainTeed’s help, which will help men build fellowship, skills, and a connection to Christ as they navigate their substance use recovery. We got to help out on several Habitat Build projects, from hanging drywall and painting to installing siding and trim. And our repair team was able to assist Project Homes on a few roof repair projects for their homeowners. 


We love our monthly volunteer days and additional ways we’ve been able to give back to our community, and we can’t wait to see what additional opportunities will present themselves in the new year.
